Swati Daji serves as senior vice president of customer solutions and strategies for Duke Energy. She is responsible for developing market strategies for all customer segments to improve customer offerings, as well as market and margin expansion opportunities. Her duties include developing, enhancing and deploying customer-focused new products and solutions, embracing emerging technologies into the portfolio of customer offerings/solutions, monitoring and analysis of market penetration, and profitability of the portfolios. She is tasked to develop new, progressive and differentiating rate designs for various customer segments in all Duke Energy jurisdictions. She also explores potential business models and roles for Duke Energy to help improve the pace of electrification, especially fleet and vehicle electrification.
Before assuming her current position in November 2018, Daji served in a variety of senior roles at Duke Energy, including chief procurement officer, chief risk officer and senior vice president of the fuels and system optimization organization. She led corporate functions such as treasury, cash management, risk, forecasting and valuation, as well as business operations functions such as fuel procurement, sourcing, logistics, warehousing, materials management, bulk power marketing, system dispatch and wholesale contract structuring. She has experience in both regulated and nonregulated businesses of the company.
Daji is an active member of industry groups and the community. She currently serves on the boards of Alliance for Transportation Electrification (ATE) and American Red Cross. She is also on the board of advisors for Atrium Health (formerly Carolinas HealthCare System), one of the largest and leading health care systems in the nation. She has previously served on the boards of Queens University School of Business and Charlotte Community Health Clinic. Daji is the recipient of North Carolina’s 2017 Career Mastered ‘Leaders in Action’ Award – honoring her for making a compelling mark on business and being an exceptionally strong role model.
Daji holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Bombay and an MBA in finance from Clemson University.
Daji and her husband, Vijay, have two sons.
